My local paper is the LA Times. The once great paper is now ten times the cost and one tenth the value. There are barely enough pages to line the bottom of the bird cage.
It's sad how the great newspapers have fallen so far. Part of it is simply technological changes, but a big part is the corporatization of journalism. To paraphrase Thomas Jefferson, big money ruins everything.
