Pity Party

I feel so bad for this poor woman and her family who have "no one assigned to protect" them. They must live live in some awful country that has

     - no military to protect them from foreign invaders
     - no national intelligence services to protect them from terrorists
     - no state or local police officers to protect them from crime
     - no laws to protect them from abusive corporations
     - no educational system to protect them from ignorance. 

I'm glad the United States is nothing like that.

Why do Republicans and the right-wing media try so hard to make President Obama seem foreign and different from the rest of America? Which candidate is actually more like you and me? I didn't have stocks to sell off so that I could pay for college. I worked the whole time I was in school and finished paying off my student loans at age 48. I trust the president to understand the average American a lot more than I trust Mitt Romney.
